Advice on size of French doors please

We are currently doing an extension and replacing our narrow PVC French doors with wider aluminium ones. You get get a maximum width of 1.8m which we are thinking of going with to get the biggest opening but then would doors this size look odd?
Also if anyone has had aluminium French doors I would appreciate recommendations. We ideally want ones where the doors fold back as much as possible.
Thank you

Why would doors of that size look odd? Do you mean the actual door bit that swings open or the sheer size of the window?
I have 2m sliding aluminium doors but with a Juliet balcony in the loft. Lots of lovely light in the room and they don’t look out of place or too big in what is a large master bedroom.

Thank you @Thinkle. My DH thinks they will just look very large and I guess not as elegant as the narrower ones. They will be 2300mm high so will be two big doors. It’s hard to imagine what they will look like but I want to be able to just have one open and it be a normal door gap.

We’re planning an extension at the moment and the French doors are 1700mm.

I hadn’t considered that might be big. The only thoughts I’ve had on their width is how small they are compared to everyone else’s big sliders and bifolds!
