We are about to start an extension and I need to make a decision about doors. We are planning to have a stable door as the main entrance door, with the top half being a window. And then french doors into the garden with full size windows next to it. The house currently has UPVC doors and a composite front door.
I think we probably need to get UPVC as the house will be rented out in a few years so needs to be something that doesn't require masses of maintenance. Or are wood doors better nowadays and longer lasting? I don't think we can afford aluminium.
I would like french doors with a small panel at the bottom (rather than glass to the floor) but struggling to find this on online searches of UPVC doors. Any ideas? Have attached a photo of wood doors in the style I mean.
