Which chalk paint?

Hi I have a nest of tables and a really good quality pine unit I would like to paint white with chalk paint. I can't afford a really expensive one but can anyone recommend a particular brand.
Also you don't think it will ruin it and make it look cheap do you? Thanks in advance

I used b&q chalk paint with a spray on varnish after and it's lasted for years. I think I was £8 for a tin of it.

Frenchic is a very popular range, not dirt cheap but a tin gives a large amount of coverage, they have a Facebook page which is great for advice etc..

Thank you, I'll have a look at both

Used Annie Sloan and Frenchic, definitely rate Frenchic as the better and more hard-wearing of the two.

Frenchic lazy range has wax in the paint so you just buff to create a soft sheen. 👌

I'm going to give frenchic a go. Thanks so much

Personal experience one of the best I've used is rustoleoum chalk paint it gos on really easy drys quickly and has so many colours which actually look like the pictures

@tiredandemosh1 if you go on the website try a local stockist at the moment that is often the quickest way to get the paint. Currently 1 500ml tin of alfresco range has done 9 kitchen cupboards and 3 drawer fronts, 3 coats and still has some left...

Wow @Gizlotsmum that's brilliant!! I've never heard of it before, been on Facebook and seen it's really popular isn't it!
I'll search for local stockists thanks

I've just done my kitchen cupboards with Frenchic alfresco and I'm delighted with it. I will say tho that the white colour (Dazzle Me) is a pain to use and takes many many coats. If you could persuade yourself to use a different colour you would be better off. I used Cool Beans for my cupboards and it was fab and covered brilliantly. The finish is great and looks like we've had new units fitted.

A few years ago, I painted two big cupboard doors, my front door (inside a block of flats) and some bedside tables with Ronseal Chalky Paint after reading lots of positive reviews. Coverage was excellent, it's good value and, all these years later, still looks great. Also, doesn't need waxing.

I think screwfix does some range of chalk paint, might be worth a look
