Painting in stages

I am due to repaint a room at home. I'm unable to do the whole room at once, can I just do a bit each day or will this give a rubbish, patchy finish?

I would do a whole wall at a time and if you use good quality paint then the job will be fine over a few days.

You will need to mix/stir the paint really thoroughly each time to ensure you don’t get any pigment settling.

Also, if can wrap your roller/paintbrush in cling film and store it somewhere cool overnight then it should be good to use the next day without the need to properly clean everything each time you stop.

Thanks @RedRed9 I should be able to manage one wall each day so I'll give that a try and hope for the best.

That's what I've been doing during lockdown, a wall or section at a time. It's coming out perfectly well.

Best of luck. And remember to sit and admire it when it’s done!

Do a whole wall at a time, dont do what I did... start painting, do the edging half a wall, and it's still unfinished a year later Confused
