L shaped screw comes back with promising Google results

FiveShelties · 19/05/2020 11:37

Is it an Alum Key?

Finfintytint · 19/05/2020 11:37

Right angled screw?

HappyHammy · 19/05/2020 11:37

Allan key

SoupDragon · 19/05/2020 11:38

It's not an Allen key which is hexagonal (or one of those kind of shapes) and used for undoing things.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 19/05/2020 11:39

I think it's a foundation bolt.

crustycrab · 19/05/2020 11:40

Aaargh 🙈

It's ALLEN key

But that isn't one. It's a foundation bolt

HappyBuyer · 19/05/2020 11:42

L-bolt

Member · 19/05/2020 11:42

L-shaped anchor bolt

FiveShelties · 19/05/2020 11:43

Well OP that is about 10 different suggestions for you! Grin

What do you want it for - that may help narrow it down.

Member · 19/05/2020 11:44

Or an L hook/square cup hook

SoupDragon · 19/05/2020 11:44

I agree with anchor bolt, foundation bold and L bolt, all of which seem to be the same thing.

FiveShelties · 19/05/2020 11:45

Would a bolt not have a screw thread on it?

FiveShelties · 19/05/2020 11:46

Ignore my post above - I see it does have a crew thread on! Sorry.

WelshMoth · 19/05/2020 11:48

Bloody hell that was quick! I was expecting it to take days Grin

Sorry - should have elaborated - it belongs to a clamp that I tighten onto a desk or shelf for a lamp fitting. It's. It long enough though so want to get a longer one!

OP posts:
WelshMoth · 19/05/2020 11:49

And yes, there's usually a bolt and clamp type thing on it.

OP posts:
happyjack12 · 19/05/2020 11:52

just take it with you to B and Q and they will get you one? :)

WelshMoth · 19/05/2020 12:47

Do you know MN at all? 😂

PaulaSmith1 · 20/05/2020 10:05

You might find that it was manufactured specifically for your clamp, so finding a spare might be tricky.

Could you make do with a straight bolt with a hex head and tighten it using spanner?
