We're moving and we're looking at different options in Yorkshire to be nearer family - but not too near
Is anyone from Ripon and can tell me how nice it is please?

Ripon is lovely- market town with some nice shops, restaurants and a cinema, good schools (there is the grammar system if that would put you off) and reasonable transport links. In terms of housing there is a complete variety - some really lovely Victorian houses and also more modern estates - there are a couple of small areas which have flooded and there is gypsum to be aware of but again this is really limited. You get more for your money if you look to some of the more northerly villages- all in all a really good place to live. Let me know if you have any other questions
