Does anyone have a kitchen of approx 20sqm or 25sqm. Could you share your layout? I'm trying to brainstorm ideas. I've looked on pinterest but wondered if anyone here could help. Thanks

Hi, @Katjolo - just to let you know that we've moved your thread over to the DIY/Property topic, as requested. Smile

Shape? 1m x 20m or what? Where are the doors etc. A plan would help enormously

Ours is a bigger space overall but the kitchen is around 5 x 6 m. There is a bank of units which are floor to ceiling and these house two fridges, a freezer, coffee machine and various storage drawers and cupboards.

Then there is a wide doorway (open plan) and the other wall has the built in microwave and oven and cupboards.

The long wall has a big centrally placed double ceramic sink, cupboards to the left, and dishwasher, larder cupboard with drawers under to the right.

The kitchen has a very wide 1.4m x 3.4m Island. It has a high level casual dining table attached at one end with 4 chairs. The island has the hob opposite the sink. At the end near the fridges is the veg prep sink. There is a water softener too. Lots of pan drawers and built in rubbish bins. There are also cupboards for baking and appliances. We also have space for a settee.

I have a laundry room and the wine fridge is in there! I don’t have plans but basically the units are on two sides and the island is huge.

I’d highly recommend the Ikea 3D kitchen designer, even if you’re not planning on using them. It will give you a good idea of what various designs will look like and what will fit, it’s very detailed.

Thanks. I'll take a look.
