Remortgage on maternity leave - sole applicant and owner

Has anyone done this as sole owner and applicant? I can put DP on the deeds if needed but I was hoping to not have to do so as it will cost.

By mat leave, I assume you mean you are going back to the same job you were in when had the baby?

You will be considered as having a dependent, it might be a bit harder than before.

But assuming you have a good credit rating etc you should be fine. You are still classed as employed.

Yes I will be going back, this is DC2, had DC1 just over 2 years ago but obviously mortgage company were oblivious to that as I was still in my fixed term

Had no issues previously and my credit rating is perfect. Just had a sudden panic as its only a month or so away from needing to do it
