Help me find a nice tall bed

Looking for a new king size bed, but trying to find one with some height. All I can see online are low little frames that you practically have to crawl into. I'm after a posh hotel type of bed, wood or fabric, with nothing at the end of the bed that DP can bash his shins on Hmm

Seen anything good?

I got a lovely headboard and frame from very. High headboard, nothing at the end.

Our last two beds have been made by our local pine workshop; bespoke variations on one of their range of models.

Maybe not 'posh', but does mean you could get exactly the height and posts (or lack of) you wanted.

You'll probably want a divan bed frame with headboard and then buy a separate mattress. We just treated ourselves to HYPNOS and I can't wait for it to be delivered!

Edwardian bed from somewhere like Chirk bed centre - if they still exist.

They're high and there's loads of space underneath them for storage.

I spent ages looking for a bed and found best value with really nice (deepset button) upholstered headboard and lots of fabric choice was Sueno, it looks exactly like the pictures on the website and ended up getting a king size for £699 with the loveliest headboard that matched the ones I’d seen in John Lewis /fenwicks for about three times the price
This is the one I got but in a grey fabric.. You can also add extra height on headboard for extra money I think.. it feels pretty high up to me

we got our bed from bensons for beds its a king size divan with a silent knight mattress and big deep headboard it wasn't cheap just over £1000 but its high as the mattress is deep and once they are open again you can mix and match to suit yourself for degree of softness of the mattress four years on I still love my bed

try Warren evans- I had thought that they went out of business but I think they are still going. Lovely beds and you can customise.

Great suggestions, thanks folks. Our mattress is ok, it's just the bed I want to change

I had a cast iron style bed from Marks and Spencer which was fairly high. Lots of room for stuff underneath(unfortunately). I got a new mattress and it was too high for me. I had to jump up in and drop out. Then I got a new bed , birthday gift , a quite fashionable one, but if truth were told it’s a bit low. Call me Goldilocks 🙄 but at least I can sit on it to put on my shoes.
