I currently have a wooden kitchen and am looking at replacing it with white units. What are the pros and cons of matt v gloss please? I'm thinking fingermarks etc...any feedback v gratefully received.

Matt is better as gloss anything will show up any flaws and fingerprints, plus will date. That's why I always use eggshell on woodwork too.

I had cream gloss in my old house (which I stupidly chose). Never again. They were a nightmare to keep clean. I now have a very light beigey matt & they are so much easier to wipe clean. The gloss ones I almost had to buff after I'd cleaned them but the matt ones I just wash with a soapy damp cloth & leave them to dry.

Thanks both, that's what I was worried about. It's a very light room so any marks will show up. I'm not overly precious but don't want them to look awful when I can avoid it!
