Sliding/Barn Door Advice

Wondering if anyone has any experience of those sliding door kits you can buy, similar to the below.

www.ironmongerydirect.co.uk/product/barrierslide-ivan-20-barn-strap-sliding-door-kit-2000mm-black-286966

It's a tiny box room so don't want to lose the space a pocket door would need.

Are these hard to install? Any reccomendations for kits. Can't think of any other options as the door can't be hung to open the other way.

My builders who I can't ask (long story!) found an amazing fitting from Denmark I think. Still don't understand how it works but I have sliding doors and absolutely no sign of fittings! Going ot have a hunt fo ryou now.

I didn't want to do the barn style as not appropriate for my house but I think they look really cool if you have the right house.

OK, not sure if it was this exact brand but read their page about sliding doors and I think its the SLIDO 80m.

The doors have no visible sliding fittings....its like magic :)

Not that type but I have one in a tiny room off another room. It is brilliant. When open, it is an extension of the main room as you can't see the door, but just like a regular door otherwise.

Thanks @areallthenamesusedup that is an amazing looking option. Our house is not suited to barn style at all but as it is just an office I thought I'd sacrifice style for space but might not have to with your option.

Thanks @NOTANUM no one I know seemed keen on sliding doors in general but I love the flexibility it gives. Can imagine in main living space it gives you options.

Oh I love sliding doors. They are such a space saver. Good luck with your project. I don't know how much those fittings are I sent you but at least you know now it is possible and may be able to get a cheaper alternative.
