We have had fairly extensive building work done and I have a large kitchen diner, stairs and landings, utility, small bathroom and office to decorate from scratch. I am keen to do some of the work myself but am struggling with the prep. We have anthracite grey doors and windows, usually I would use decorators caulk around white windows but it seems more tricky with the colour. I will also need to fill the little gaps between skirtings and architraves. I haven’t decorated a freshly plastered room before with all these little gaps. So far I’ve done a mist coat on most areas which has gone on well.
Any tips, good YouTube videos to watch etc? I’m contemplating getting a decorator to do the prep and then just doing the emulsion.
