Quick question about knobs!

Wink

I'm trying to spruce up my IKEA Hemnes bedside table. The knobs have a hole diameter of 5mm; I've found some nice knobs on John Lewis but it doesn't give the knob diameter. Will they fit?!?

I'm new to DIY!

TIA

caninet knobs and handles (but not doorknobs) are usually fixed with a screw from the inside. The screw is usually M4

(4 mm diameter, metric thread)

so it would pass easily through a 5mm hole.

I replaced my hemnes knobs with ones from Laura Ashley. I kept the old screw in and just twisted odd the old ones and replaced them. They didn’t need to go through the hole.

I didn't expect this to be about this kind of knob.
