A small rant here about home swapping! I’ve been trying to get my mum a homeswap for 5 years now from her two bed house to a one bed flat. She’s not really fussy as she would but her own stamp on it. But on the other hand you wouldn’t believe how many other people have ridiculous requirements about garden size, space for dishwasher, space for a drive when they’re from one bedroom flats themselves. Surely if they were that fussy they would buy or rent their place? I mean they’re getting a two bed house! I’m undergoing a swap myself to a one bed to another one bed. I have given up my garden as I have realistic expectations that because I’m social housing I won’t get exactly what I want. But some people take the piss and I’m sick of it! Surely it’s not hard to find someone that will just be pleased they’re getting a two bed house and stop making ridiculous comments about certain things. It infuriates me! We have a housing crisis as it as and believe me as soon as I can afford it I will be going rented or saving for a bought place when I can. THEN I will be fussy but until then I’ll keep my mouth shut. What do you think?
