Contractors in Covid-19

I wondered what peoples thoughts were on getting contractors in during covid-19. Initially we thought this would not be possible, but as time goes we've been thinking there might be some limited jobs we could get done as long as we respect the 2 metre distance. Many building firms have started going back onto jobs, what are peoples thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

We’ve had contractors throughout. We had wall ties put in which was definitely essential, then we’ve had a plumber and an electrician, and a roofer and his mate. They’ve all been in separately and been able to use the back access and maintain distance. These guys are self employed and don’t qualify for any government help until June so a lot are still working and if you can maintain a distance you’re helping them out.

Personal choice. Our builders are working under their own practices in an empty house so much different to having them work at home with curious children running about...
