Plumbers, how much would you charge to fit an outside tap?

How much would you charge for labour and materials? I already have a tap kit from Screwfix.

Depends if the tap is to go behind the cold water supply or somewhere else?
If there's a working stopcock and it's straight through the wall i would assume it's a half day job so whatever the rates are in your area.

But anyway just get a couple of quotes, you wouldn't even need a proper plumber but do get someone with experience

Our local plumber has a fixed price list for things like this. I think it's £60 or £70.

What kind of screwfix tap kit is it. Cos generally I wouldn't recommend most of their stuff for that. Would normally go for two hours work though, so as working5to9 said, 60 plus parts. Then, that would be a bib tap for roughly £10, wall plate £5, isolation valve £6, copper pipe and insulation. Would reckon £90 at most, but dependent on how easy/far it would be on pipework.

Last week our plumber came out and replaced outside tap. He bought and installed the new one. £100 including VAT.
