So we just pulled out from a purchase with the view to start over once lockdown is lifted. We will change the area of search (partially the reason for pulling out, we want more green space). We will also bid lower than pre-corona price, possibly by 10-15%. I don’t expect every vendor to accept that but some might, depending on their circumstances.
Now we found a street we like with two adjoining houses listed in late 2019. Same layout and if the real house looks as good as the photo we will be happy to live in either.
I wonder whether it is a good idea to offer on one and if rejected then offer the same amount on the other? If the second house goes through my concern is that we will have a neighbour that rejected our offer who wanted to sell at a higher price and our purchase would have set a lower price for the street that they won’t be happy about?
Those two are linked detached houses sharing one garden fence. Rather small cul de sac so possibly neighbours all know each other.
I know I am thinking quite far ahead just wonder what others may think?
