Carpet / laminate flooring

Pro's and cons of laminate flooring to carpets.
We have laminate flooring at present really thinking of moving over to carpet.
It doesn't matter how much I clean floors never looks good.
I can see streaks.

Think you've already made the argument!

Am I cleaning it wrong or do other people have this issue too

What are you using to clean it? You could be using too much product or leaving too much water if using an old fashioned style mop and bucket?

Damp mop and cif wooden flooring cleaner and sometimes method squirt +mop

For me carpet is warmer. Harder to clean though. Hate the wet patches from spilled drinks ect...
