Hello, not sure if i have posted this in the right forum but feel free to move it.

I ordered some swings online from Argos ages ago, and because this is a big item I got a letter a week ago telling me to ring their call centre (based Staffs) to arrange delivery. I have tried to ring, but three times kept on hold for over half an hour and have just given up.

Their website will not allow me to contact them directly, and I can't even get a refund. They have my money but I can't get my product!

Has anyone tried to contact them recently on their main customer service number. I am getting really annoyed about this, surely they could redeploy some of their shop staff to answer telephone and online queries. Thanks.

I had to call them last week. I called them at 7.15, hoping it would be quieter as they close at 8. The call was answered at exactly 8pm and my issue was sorted quickly. Bear in mind that the people answering the phones will be coping with high demand and a lot of complaints. Be patient, call up and leave your phone on loudspeaker and be prepared to wait a while for it to be answered.

Midlands mummy, a 45 minute wait sounds awful but if that is what it takes...are 0345 calls free until they are connected? That is what is worrying me!

I had a problem with them last week. Ordered a product to "click and collect" in store ( Argos within a Sainsbury's shop). Money taken out of my account but no order number, nothing confirmed. Tried to phone them. Tried to email them. Tried online chat and twitter. No response at all.
I was very annoyed. I appreciate they have limited staff, and it's a time of crisis, but if you are going to offer a service, then have to staff available to sort problems!

In the end, I went into the store itself, and they couldn't have been more helpful. They have a separate staff inquiry line, and they sorted out the problem directly there and then
