How easy is it to cut a fence panel to size and nail the edge bit back on?

Would this be an easy thing to do? Or would I just end up with a mangled fence panel?

Depends on how careful you are. They're usually pinned on so simple enough to pry off if you're careful about it.

Fix the batters in the new position before you cut it.

Plasterers galvanised nails are handy.

It’s dead easy - I had to do about five panels for my weird shaped garden. I prised the edging off carefully with a crowbar, and cut the wood with something called a flat max saw - it’s one for cutting laminate flooring. The hardest thing is to find something to lay it on to cut (it’s easiest to cut it flat) so laid it on bricks.
