Soundproofing

I live in a ground floor maisonette, my upstairs neighbours have a lively18 month old, and a wooden floorSadhas anyone successfully soundproofed their property, if so, what cost am I looking at?

My neighbours are lovely and the noise is regular living noise, I've no intention of asking them to keep quiet as I don't want them living on eggshells.

Grateful for any experience/advice thanks.

Well you could take down all your ceilings, fill the void with insulating sound proofing stuff and replace the ceiling... but that's a bit extreme. Not a lot else you can do tbh

Buy them some carpet.
