Extending kitchen by making living room smaller

Has anyone got experience of making a large living room/lounge area smaller to extend their kitchen?

I think this may be cheaper than building an extra few metres onto the existing extension.

It would also be ideal for me as I'm not really keen on the large living room anyway but I do want a bigger kitchen space!

I think you only really need a tv on the wall a unit underneath for the sky box DVD player, and a counter sofa in the living room, maybe side tables for lamps and maybe a coffee table, better to have a bigger kitchen with a breakfast bar or a island , and a dinning room table

Corner sofa not counter!!

Totally agree @nanalisa60 :D

I decluttered the living room a few weeks ago and now it's barer, with the extra space starting to grate on me.

Also had a corner sofa in mind!
