Any hopes of a plumber?

Our washing machine has broken down, with all that implies. Could I get some non-judgmental advice about whether there is any hope of getting a plumber in here in these times of lockdown?

They are still working. But harder to get hold of. But do you need a plumber or washing machine engineer? Or just buy a new machine?

Yes, they are definitely still working. Our boiler went off last week. We have insurance through our bank account. They contract '0800 Repair'. It took a week to fix in total as it's taking longer for supplies to come through. We are also landlords. Our tenants gas safety check is due. We couldn't get an engineer until the end of the month ; normally we can book someone the day before.

Have you checked the plug and fusebox.

You should be fine to get someone out to look at your washing machine. I wouldn't recommend a plumber though, as apart from connecting the water going in and out, we don't know much else about them.
