Moving to council property in the midst of lockdown

Hi, a few weeks before we went into lockdown I was offered, viewed and accepted a council flat. I've been waiting to get the keys and complete the tenancy stuff and then lockdown happened. I was wondering if anyone else in London has been able to collect keys and move into council property during this time? I tried calling the council and they told me that they were still doing tenancy sign ups over the phone so I was just wondering if this was true for anyone.
I know it's not the best time to move but I am currently living with my ex partner and the atmosphere here is isn't great. We have a 4yo son together and I just really want to get us out of here and into our own space even if we have barely any furniture! Especially if this lockdown will go on for months. I just really want my son in a more peaceful environment. My ex is now working from home 4 days a week too.
Thanks

I read that moving to an empty property is allowed, if of course you can manage the logistics. So hopefully the answer is yes.
