Washable paint?

We recently had hall, stairs, landing painted with white matt emulsion.. The decorator said he used Dulux Trade. I’ve wiped a couple of marks off, just using a damp cloth and the paint has come off on the cloth.
Is this to be expected or has he used inferior paint?

If it’s not specifically washable paint it will wash off and mark like any other matt paint.

That's normal for emulsion I'm afraid.

I've just used Wickes Tough & Washable for baby's room and am hoping it will be better for cleaning. If it withstands regular wiping I'll probably use the same type of paint for the rest of the house.

Dulux Trade Diamond Emulsion is scrubbable I wouldn’t use anything else on high traffic areas.
