Can I claim?

Toddler has spilt an entire pot of sample paint on the carpet and trodden it in all down the stairs. We weren't decorating at the time. Can we claim for new carpets on the insurance? We have accidental damage cover.

I would think so - this is what accidental damage cover is for.

although if it is emulsion it may well clean up with hard work. You'll be waiting a long, long time for your claim at the moment.

you should be able to my Ex once burnt an expensive carpet by dropping a hot iron on it and that was covered
