Delivery for garden project

I’m having a debate with my DS. I want to get materials delivered for a small garden project. The supplier is happy to deliver but DS says it’s irresponsible to do at the moment. What do you think?

Why not? You might be keeping some people in work?

The goods arrive, and you don't need to touch them for 48 hours. The delivery driver doesn't need to speak to you, just push the delivery note through the door. Then, as long as you stay in your own garden, and do the work yourself, you aren't breaking isolation.

What have I missed? Unless the driver has to go to work on the tube....

As long as it’s doorstep delivery and you exercise due caution there is no issue with this, the government has been very clear on that.
