Moving to Northampton

We are planning on moving to Northampton before September (if Corona lets us) My daughter has a place in Moulton College so we are actively looking for a property.
We've seen a great house in Southfields but its not an area that we were considering.
We've looked at Moulton, Kingsthorpe, West Hunsbury and Duston but this is the first place I've seen in Southfields.
So Id like to know what the area is like please?
Are there any areas in Northampton that I should avoid or any that arent on my list yet? Thank guys x x x

Depends which part? Southfields is part of the eastern district. Parts of it look nice but the reality is, deprivation is high and crime such as vandalism and theft is high too. Buses from Southfields to moulton don’t exist directly. Walking routes out of the estate towards moulton are also very limited and a bit scary.

Have personal experience of living in the area for a long time. I would avoid. Moulton is pretty nice. A lot less traffic with the recent road changes.
