Large plant for a cold, light bathroom

Can anyone make suggestions for a plant which I won't kill for our family bathroom?

It's very bare in there and we had a plant in there for a while but it was never very happy in there and has finally bitten the dust.

What was the plant that didn't like it? And will you be keeping it near the window?

A spider plant or a bromeliad.

Peace lily.

I'd go with a fern or Snake plant.

My mum has a butterfly fern in her light, unheated (bloody freezing) bathroom and it's thriving

I think it was an Areca Palm. It’s now a creepy dead stick which I keep forgetting to throw away (it’s in teenagers’ bathroom, I try to stay away from there Grin)

I wanted something large like that to fill a corner and although ferns, peace lilies and spider plants are lovely I think they will be too small?
It won’t be on a windowsill but it will still get quite a lot of light.

I’m going to look up a snake plant now - I haven’t hear of that.

Thanks everyone.

How about a Yucca then? They can get tall.

The peace lily in my.mothers bathroom is bloody enormous and has outgrown 3 pots. We call it Audrey

Aspidistras are famous for being virtually indestructible.
