Hi
Does anyone live here? If you do can you recommend what part of peteresfield is lovely and safe (if there is such a thing in the world of living anywhere safe!) happy to look just outside too. Need to be near the A3 to drive my daughter to hindhead for school. What area should I be looking when I search petersfield on right move?
Many thanks in advance.

Petersfield is actually quite small really and anywhere within Petersfield is near the A3. There are new build areas off The Causeway, older new build estates in the Herne Farm Area, traditional roads etc. We moved here from SW London late 2018 but my partner was born here so knew it well. To be honest all areas are fine, but I am not as keen on the western area nearer to the industrial estate but many other people are and love those roads. You can get A3 traffic noise from some areas as well (we do and live near the Station). Cranford Road area would not be on my list either. It depends what type of budget you have and whether you want a new build, an older new build or a traditional Victorian house, flat etc. Unless you live further out everything is within walking distance. A large Waitrose, smaller Tesco, Tesco Express, M & S Foodhall and a great Lidl. Other small local style shops also dotted around including a Co Op down Moggs Mead area. A good selection of High Street shops - though quite a few have closed down even since we have been here which is a great shame. Just put your budget on right move and see what it brings up. Though there is not loads on the market at the moment what with everything going on!

friendlycat is the road noise very bad where you are? The Causeway new builds are off a busy road and are all ontop of one another I think. Waht is the herne farm area like? I have a budget of absolute max £700K if nothing needs doing to it. Lovely house on Sandringham road but out of my budget, and probably no parking. Is that a nice area? x

Sandringham Road nice and quite near everything for walking. Tilmore area considered the quiet north end of Petersfield near the fields etc. You can still walk into town taking short cuts but quite a long walk back. Causeway Farm new builds yes all on top of each other and a new build estate of 200 houses. Some are nice and if you like new build would be popular but not for me. Herne Farm estate bottom of Petersfield and an older new build estate that has been built over many years. With your budget you can get nice period properties and Tilmore area or Sandringham would be good options. Also look at for sale King George Avenue bang in the centre. All are well worth a look. Woodbury Avenue would be good as well. You will find a good property with your budget unless you are expecting luxury at the 1million plus point around The Heath.

I’ve just looked up The Sandringham Road house and yes it’s stunning and a good road with period properties but I would say overpriced for 3 beds and square footage. I don’t think it’s going to sell at that price frankly but definitely worth a view if you could go up a bit more. Tilmore Gardens looks great as well. The market is slow as well.
