How taut does net curtain wire have to be?

Using it to make a tent in the attic - I know it stretches but I don't know how much

Would you use 2.5m spans or is that too wide?

I suppose it depends on how heavy the fabric?

depends how wide your attic is. the wire has to be very taut, or else it sags with the weight of the fabric. try 10cm shorter than the width and pull it VERY tightly to get the hooks in.

I have a very light polycotton and each drop will be about 3m - with a second wire at about 1.5.

The material is 1.4m wide

I thought to do each side separately with a taut pieces shaped at each end
