Knocked lounge and dinning room though.
Lounge has lovely laminated floors but dinning room had good quality underlay and carpet put down only few months ago..
Would it look weird to have 2 different floors in same space x

I'd be fine with it but I know plenty of people who would hate it. If they are in toning colours then I would stick with it for a while and see how you feel in 6 months.

So what's going in the bit where the wall was?

It would annoy me for a number of reasons, most notably having carpet in a dining room! But I'd be wary of removing a brand new floor, so would probably live with it for as long as I could stand it.

Hoping to put oak threshold board x

That would be a very wide threshold board. Walls are pretty thick so I think it would look a bit odd. I suppose you could keep the floor but I think to make the most of your lovely new space it would have the same throughout.
