Innards for kitchen drawers

We have just had an eye watering quote of over £1k for various drawer liners (knife holders, cutlery trays, spice rack etc) for our new german kitchen. Can anyone recommend anywhere else to source these items from? Obviously ikea is an option but I was wondering if there is anywhere else that would do them specifically for the larger german drawer sizes.

wow - our 3 liners were £25 each and I thought that was going some...

try ebay.

You could look at DIY kitchens online. We got eg a nice flat wooden knife block that sits in our wooden cutlery tray thingy (also from there). They come in different widths. It's smart and we are happy.

if you mean the clip-in ones that fit like jigsaws into slots, you need a compatible make. Lots of kitchen co.s will use Blum or it might be Hafele

Blum drawer inserts

You can get them to take plates on edge, like a drainer, which avoids risk of cracking and scratching, but this needs a deep pan drawer.

If you mean the moulded plastic trays, you can buy them by the billion on ebay. You will need a very strong pair of kitchen scissors or something to trim the edges as they seem to be made with extra overlap to fit slightly different drawer sizes.

this sort of thing

kitchen companies like to charge high prices, in the same way that a screw bought from a car main dealer will cost you more than from a hardware store.

Imo they all waste space. I've lined a drawer with that rubbery, dimpled mat from Ikea. No wasted space, and everything stays put when you open and close it.

That said, it still relies on people putting things in the right place.

mine clip together and resemble Blum orga-line but are probably an old range.

We don't have moulded ones, we just got wooden trays. Ironically the best one I have was being offered free outside on the pavement 2 summers ago. Fits in better than the one we had before
