How long to sell at the moment?

We have been on 10 days and had lots (17) viewings but no offers yet.

It seems people who are viewing aren't yet in a position to buy which is really annoying!

I'm being really impatient, how is it taking others to sell ATM?

Really worried about missing out on the house we really like.

I've been on for six months now. Shit tonnes of viewings, had one offer that was accepted but then they pulled out so I'm back to square one. Very frustrating and I can't drop the price anymore than I already have :(

We have just gone under offer after 22 days on the market. One viewing week one, three viewings week two. Two offers end of week two. Week three negotiating to get to our final price £5k under asking.

We were very lucky, I was prepared for a hard slog. We priced close to what we wanted for it (and what was realistic). Unfortunately the house we loved sold in 5 days so we’ve still missed out on it.

We’re SE, not London.

We put ours on the market at the end of August and we sold the week before Christmas so four months. The market was really slow until the election, although we had viewings ( the agent said lots of their properties had not had any) most people wanted to wait until after the election to actually offer. The week after the election the market totally changed and we sold as did other houses that had been on as long or longer than ours. Lots more came onto the market too.

I should say we priced ours realistically, I think this is why we had viewings. Some houses are on for way over the value (in my opinion).

Here things are selling within a week if they are priced right, sadly lots on the market that are woefully overpriced and not wanting to budge.

Ours Sold STC after 5 days and 5 viewings in mid December for full asking ( though it was priced pretty low as we need to move quickly).
The one we’re buying has been on the market for 6 months with a couple of reductions.

Flat went on the market on the Wednesday, had 9 viewings on the Friday and Saturday, 3 offers, went for best offer and sold for 2k over the asking price on the Thursday. The flat was competitively priced for the area, and to reflect its need for refurbishment, but I was very pleased with how quickly it sold! Buyer is a cash buyer, no chain, all going smoothly so far, contracts in the post as I type!

Ours was up for 4 weeks and sold for £1000 over the home report price.
