Just that really. Do people still use gloss paint? Or is that a faux Pas these days?

Just from your title I was going to say PAINT 🤦🏽‍♀️Grin

But gloss is still fine. Or satin if you want a slightly less shiny look.

White eggshell. Gloss is a bit out of date

Satinwood or eggshell (virtually the same thing)

White is the safe/majority option. But same colour as the walls is quite on trend, or even a different colour if you’re feeling very brave.

minipie · 07/03/2020 17:22

PS go with water based or it will yellow with time.

CottonSock · 07/03/2020 17:23

I have been researching this. Gloss now is a new formula and goes yellow. You need a water based egg shell or satin

Meme05 · 07/03/2020 17:28

Satin, gloss goes yellow after a while

Fairylea · 07/03/2020 17:28

Satinwood. Easy to do, looks nice and you can just wash the brushes and yourself off afterwards.

ShesGotBetteDavisEyes · 07/03/2020 17:31

I use satinwood. Eggshell is more Matt but not as hard wearing I'd say. Gloss is still an option but is more of a dated look. (Valspar interior wood paint from b&q is excellent hard wearing paint and can be mixed to any colour)

Satinwood, definitely. It's acrylic, so it dries quickly

isseywith4vampirecats · 08/03/2020 18:35

we have gone with gloss in the bedroom as its a low wear area and satinwood in the hall and stairs but I have found the satinwood not as tough as the gloss and needed more coats

Eggshell here. I like the matt look.
