Builders recommendation in Herts

Bit of a long shot - but can anyone recommend their builders?

We are at the early stages of planning a 2 storey extension to our house in WGC, Herts.

We've narrowed it down to 2 architects but my biggest worry is finding a good builder.

Or - how did you find yours?

We found ours by seeing him working on a large build that was the same 1930’s style as ours. We approached them and really liked them. Spoke to current clients they were on site with, other jobs etc and we started last week. So far so good. They are also the cheapest quote by a long way.

We are St Albans so not a million miles away.

Our build is front, side, rear two storey, single storey rear, loft.

Join one of the local FB groups too as loads of recommendations and warnings on there.
