Bosch dishwasher door won't open

Hi

I cleaned my dishwasher (taking seals off etc) and shut the door and now it won't open.

It was a bit stiff when I shut it. I possibly put the seal back the wrong way?

Any idea how I can get it open?

Thank you!

Pull harder?

Have you tried running it to see if the heat loosens things up?

I must be honest though, I can't imagine a scenario where I would ever feel the urge to take the seals off my dishwasher to clean them. that's a whole new level of cleaning I wasn't aware I was expected to do Grin

I'm running it through now on a hot wash. So let's see what happens when that finishes

You really should check your seals and the bits under the door they get bloody disgusting. Run a cloth in the bit between the bottom on the dishwasher and bottom of the door (inside). Blurgh!! 🤢🤢🤢

I find that if I don't clean it periodically stuff stays coming out dirty. So I know it needs a good clean.

Could you have accidentally put the child lock on when you were cleaning it? On ours it is a lever within the handle

If it’s not the child lock try pulling it from the sides. If you put the seal on wrong ot will only be wedged.

See I do that every 12 months but the seals. No.

Have you tried a fish slice?

Hi all
Thanks for your replies. Had dishwasher repair man out and it gave it a good yank and it opened and the catch had got stuck in the down position which he freed for us by shoving a screwdriver in it until it went back up. I checked what he was doing in case it happened again as it wasn't difficult!

Thought I'd post in case anyone else had same problem.
