Best packing tape for heavy boxes please?

Proper thick sellotape.
It’s strong, it sticks, our movers used it.

Yes I know it costs a bit more but we found cheap tape either came unstuck or ripped.

Also use it generously with plenty of overlap if your joinIng 2 flaps together etc,

KitePackaging sell the best value brown packing tape. Works out 40pish a roll for the wide stuff
