Opinions please... White (not off-white) kitchen cabinets... Will they look awful?

Sunny, south facing kitchen. Would prefer pale coloured cabinets, but would matt white ones look too harsh/sterile/dazzling?
Has anyone got similar in their kitchen?
Does it look ok?

We are likely to be going with IKEA, and the door style I like the most (Axstad) is a really bright white. Considering Bodbyn instead, which are off white, but don't like the style as much.
Worktops will probably be pale, floor will be dark, will add colour through tiles and am hoping some wooden shelves will add a bit of warmth.
Would we be safer with off-white/cream instead?

Would love some other opinions, I've got serious decision fatigue....

A good friend of mine has pure white hi gloss kitchen units and they look amazing. Not too dazzling at all. She cleans more than I do though, so I have beige.

Yes to colour elsewhere... they have dark greys and blues and slate type floors and worktops. It really works.

We have white gloss cabinets in a south facing kitchen. With a wooden worktop and wood effect floor. And white walls. Love it, it's the lightest, brightest room in the house. All crisp and clean.

We have a dark colour on the u shaped under counter section, matt white on the wall units above and the full height units. White counter tops too. The walls are a very pale pink. I think it looks good!

Matt white can look a bit cheap imo

Has to be gloss white otherwise you’ll be forever cleaning matt doors. I loved my gloss kitchen and white was surprisingly forgiving. I moved and now have gloss black which shows every speck of dust, I can’t wait to rip it out.
