Hello there,

Just starting to plan my new kitchen and wondered if anyone had any recommendations for good place to purchase quartz worktops in south-west Uk?

My Mum and Dad had a granite worktop fitted by these people www.medamsell.co.uk/ . Did a nice job and I'm pretty sure they cover Bristol

rosinavera · 01/03/2020 23:00

Thank you so much @Muchlywrong - I'll take a look! :-)

take a look at Avon Marble but the people who used them chose granite and I have no idea if they do quartz.

Two friends of mine have used Plan-it Stone in Bristol and their kitchens look amazing.
I am planning on using them this year for my kitchen.

rosinavera · 04/03/2020 14:46

Thank you @Peggy15 - will look them up :-)

We recently got our quartz worktops from mister marble, they’re in the NW but cover the UK. They were brilliant from start to finish, never dealt with a company where everyone is so helpful/friendly.

I think I heard about them on here too.

We used Mayflower Stone. They're South West based, but do a nationwide service (we are South East).

I was extremely impressed with the quality and the level of service, all the more fab when you consider that the cost was almost £2000 cheaper than any other quote we got. I would highlight recommend.

Thank you so much @QuantumWeatherButterfly I'll look them up too :-)

We used a company called Rossi Stoneworks for ours. They're based in London but I think they supply SW too.

We're really impressed by the quality and the installation team were brilliant. The quartz makes such a difference to our kitchen too, looks really smart.

@rosinavera here are my quotes, Howdens for silestone £3349 , gq worktops £2441 and planit stone £2668.
Howdens and plan it stone were from plan and Gq estimate from my measurements.
Thought might help

rosinavera · 04/04/2020 14:33

Thank you so much @Peggy15 that's really helpful! :-) Can I ask who you've decided to go with?

I think I will go with plan it stone as it's close to home. My kitchen is on hold at the moment due to coronavirus. But can not wait to get it done x

rosinavera · 05/04/2020 11:07

Me too @Peggy15 although it feels selfish to say that with all that's going on in the world at the moment x

@Peggy15 @rosinavera I've used Damsell as well as they are very local to me. I went to the workshop and had a look at what they had in stock, I even think I picked out the actual piece I wanted. Real good service and nice people. If they cover Bristol I'd give them a call. With all thats going on it will be difficult though at the moment

rosinavera · 06/04/2020 17:42

Thank you @VeganVeal will look into them too! :-)
