Kitchen design - can I keep images?

I'm after experiences from other who have had their kitchen designed by a company like Wicks or Wren or similar.

I know you can't keep the design in case you go away and procure a similar kitchen elsewhere, but do they give you rendered pictures to take away, so you can compare the designs between different companies?

I want to get a couple of designs done and then take some time to decide which one I like the best.

I'm just having a wickes kitchen fitted but yes you can take away the designs and source elsewhere. I also had designs from other companies and they all allow you to have them once done.

It varies. Some of the companies I visited wouldn’t let me keep the images (or even take pics on my phone). Some let me take a copy of the design.

We're off to Wren in a few weeks once we have the drawings back from the architect (extending current house) and I did want to be able to compare and contrast a few designs. I guess it is commonplace to ask (ie they wouldn't think we were being cheeky, or it is the done thing) but it's their right to say no.

I don't think Wren let you have anything until you have contracted with them.
I had kitchen plans from 2 independent kitchen supply companies and they both provided me with hard copies to take away.

Ah right, I did wonder if they'd allow it. Maybe best we go to the local companies first then.

Wren emailed the designs to us before we placed any kind of deposit so we had plenty of time to decide.

Wickes let me take the designs away too.

Thanks everyone. Mixed results by the sounds of it. I'm going to Wren and Magnet first off (although I can see us ending up with an Ikea kitchen) we will just wait and see.

Ikea printed the design for us before we decided.
