Tiled (pebbles) floor. Does anyone have this kind of thing?

Hi,

I'm looking for something fun in tiles for a floor of what will be a small showeroom.

Does anyone have anything like these pebbles? Are they hard to clean and odd to walk on, slippery/good grip? It will be used mainly by adults and I love the colour!

I'd be concerned about how slippery they might be. Can't find out the rating/suitablity from the online description.

I do like them though. Imagine they'd feel nice on bare feet

I've asked them for the R rating when requesting the sample. They could be slippery you are right.

Thank you.

I have Karndean Michelangelo tiles which have a similar look and they are great: hard wearing and non slip.

Would they not get all grubby?!

FaceLikeAPairOfTits · 16/02/2020 11:32

We had a whole kitchen of something similar when we bought our house. They were really awful to clean. We pulled them up.

fabulousathome · 16/02/2020 12:03

Oh. Sounds like a bad idea then. I really like the look of them.
Thank you.

they look nice but my first thought too was how dirty they would get in between the pebbles

I have very similar (darker) in a small guest shower room. They are on the floor of the shower and also the floor of the tiny bathroom. They look great. We don't have any issues with cleaning but in fairness that bathroom isn't used very often.

I have a version of these

ten years in they are still fine - not slippery
and the grout is still fine

Harvey Maria do a pebble effect vinyl

Fun but safe and easy clean

As someone who is only late 30 s but now permanently on crutches I couldn't enter if it had rained and if it's as bumpy as it looks probably couldn't negotiate it anyway without a lot of pain. It is pretty though I admit!

ListeningQuietly · 16/02/2020 15:50

Loya
Once they are grouted they are no rougher than ordinary tiles .... they are just like the mosaic ones in swimming pools

Mosaic123 · 17/02/2020 00:20

Well we are in our late 50s early 60s so, thinking long term, slippery would need the last thing I want. Big sigh...

ListeningQuietly · 17/02/2020 11:31

They are no more slippery than any other tile
