Paint work touch up balls up!

So I’ve done a bit of touching up round the house on the paintwork, just where there’s been a few scuffs/marks.

Some of the touch ups you can’t see but around the fireplace the new paint is quite visible! I did the painting three days ago so it’s definitely dry. The fireplace is a feature in the lounge so I don’t want the eye to be drawn to it and people to notice the touch ups!

Is there anything I can do (bar re-painting the entire wall) to try and salvage this and blend the touch ups in?

touch-ups often show. If the paint is very new, and if you paint only the chip or scratch (not a patch) they are less noticeable.

If the wall itself is dirty, it may help to wash it with sugar soap to brighten up like the new paint. And stir the paint very very thoroughly as pigment settles to the bottom

But as you suggest, painting the whole wall from skirting to ceiling and corner to corner may be necessary.

if the fireplace is on a chimneybreast you could paint just that, as a small colourchange will not be noticed at the corners.
