Hi,i am thinking of buying my first property and since I couldnt afford the house prices in the city centre, im thinking if Swindon maybe a gd option. Would like to know about its pros and cons. Is it a safe and good living place? Where in Swindon should i look for and which part/streets should i stay away from? Is Swindon good for families with kids and are there any good primary and secondary schools? Would highly appreciate your views as i may move my family there also. Thank you all in advance. Smile

Yes. Good idea. A lot of SwInton borders Worsley and Monton which are nice places. Broad oak primary which is sort of Worsley/SwInton border is best or 2nd best primary in Salford. Check the catchment area.

You generally want to be south of the A580 (East Lancs Rd), but that’s not to say there aren’t nice houses north of it.
If you post details of any houses you’ve seen and liked, I can tell you if they’re in a nice area.

South of the east lancs is lovely!
What sort of budget and house size do you need.
Manchester is very expensive for the north and you don’t get loads for your money.
