Can anyone help me track down this pipe connector?

It's a 1" male to male plastic pipe connector with a valve - strangely I can't find anything equivalent despite ages searching online. I've got a 1" to 1" male to male connector without a valve but could really do with a replacement for this one.

(It goes on my waterbutt which has a 1" female connector & I use it to attach a female threaded -to-hozelock connector from which I can then take off a stub of pipe for a watering can or a longer hose - but easiest to have the valve right on the butt)

you call it 1", but it is probably a BSP size. These are not very similar to their nominal sizes. 1/2" BSP and 3/4" BSP are the most likely.

3/4" BSP is 26.5mm (just over an inch)

If you have a garden tap and hose, see if it matches any of the screw-on fittings.

If you can measure accurately, try to identify the nominal size from one of the tables on this web page
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Standard_Pipe#Pipe_and_fastener_dimensions

I would guess it is most likely to be 1/2" BSP, and Hozelock probably make a suitable fitting. A large garden centre or online supplier probably have one.

A washing machine valve, or a washing machine filling hose, is 3/4" BSP, you may have one you can try.

A brass garden tap has a 1/2" BSP thread at the end that screws onto the supply pipe (it is not an ordinary pipe compression fitting). And IIRC a 3/4" screw thread on the spout. But brass will probably be more expensive than a plastic tap. There is a trick to tightly screwing on a tap so it stops when it is upright.

Thanks for looking @PigletJohn Good question - my callipers aren't that accurate, but it looks to be 1 inch. But I reckon I'm measuring in the wrong place, & I should be looking at where the screw thread starts rather than the outside of the thread? That would be the 1/2"BSP / 21mm.

It screws onto a hozelock connector as pictured which looks to be this one - which would suggest BSP.

Really unhelpfully I can't remember where it came from - most likely bought as an add on to an order at work (which would probably have been City Irrigation, but can't see anything like that on their listings now). It looks suspiciously like a Hydrosure valve but again can't find anything the same now.

Maybe I just need a different solution. Annoying though as having a valve right on the butt outlet is useful. I think there's some of these lurking at work which would at least give me something to attach a hose.

35p looks like a bargain

does the company offer other products that would meet your need?

Or email Hozelock, they seem to have quite a range.
