We have a longish (30ft) drive, and our neighbours have a front garden. Currently there is a picket fence separating our drive from their lawn, but it's been gradually disintegrating over the last year and the last two weekend storms have finished it off so it needs replacing.
It's actually our neighbour's responsibility to maintain, but they're hopeless with their fences (back garden fence has completely disintegrated as well) and we've decided to put our own up instead.
Can anyone suggest a good replacement which is going to be more wind proof than a 2ft picket fence but not cost a fortune? We'd put it up ourselves to save money so also need it to be simple to install. I'd love a low wall but know that would need foundations and not something we'd be able to do ourselves. I've also looked at post and chain fences and metal railings. Am I missing anything?
