Move to Warwick?

Currently living in A city and absolutely loving it. We're not from here originally, but each have more friends than we ever had in our respective home towns. We have 2 DC both toddlers.

We're thinking about moving to be closer to family (currently 3 hours away) and to be able to afford a bigger house. Thing is, we love it here so much we don't really know where to go or if we'll regret it.

Anyone lived in Warwick before? We could get a lovely house there and would only be about half an hour from family. Huge sacrifice of the city we love though, so it needs to meet some criteria - friendly people, lots of places to meet people, cafes and parks in walking distance, things for the kids etc, good schools and transport links

Warwick is great, very family friendly. However town centre very limited. Saying that you can walk to Leamington spa town centre from part of Warwick and Leamington town centre is great - very family friendly, there are lots of nurseries and schools around, the town centre is full of cafes with a gorgeous park. I’m in Leamington and would highly recommend. Both Warwick and Leamington also have great train and road links to Birmingham and London.

Well Warwick has all of those things, but it's quite a sleepy town, most people went to Leamington/Stratford for days out or shopping. But the parks are great, the castle is on your doorstep and has so much on for DC, the schools are generally good and you have a good selection of state or private.

DP and I grew up in the area, it's nice, but we won't be leaving London.

Thank you. I've been to leamington and liked it. My family go there a lot. I've never been to Warwick but thought it was the bigger of the two! I didn't know you could walk between them. Sounds like leanington might be a better bet
