Recent experience planning appeal

Anyone had any experience of planning appeals? Site inspector visited on 20th January but still no written decision (householder appeal). Anyone with successful appeals particularly welcome to apply

Ours took months - inspection was late March/beginning of April and decision mid July.
I did phone them a couple of times to check (also because we didn't even know inspector had been), and they said holdup is just because of a backlog

Our application was originally submitted 24th October - just seems like a bit of a joke really, it's supposed to be 12 weeks and even the extended times on the website now say 16 weeks! The worst thing is them saying they have no idea when it will be - there just doesnt seem to be any idea of customer service at all!
