I rent privately, and will be moving house on the 28th.

However, my utilities, my contents insurance and my pets insurance and all due to renew automatically over the next three weeks. What do I do given these premiums are all likely to change once I have a new address?

I don't yet know the new flat well enough to be able to answer questions on lock types, or expected energy usage? I don't know current providers or anything else....?

Utilities you usually notify them you're leaving giving them the moving date followed by any final readings on the day. Pet insurance just renew and call them/go online to update address details. The contents insurance will probably have to be renewed too they will either transfer to your new address or cancel the old one and do a new one charging more or refunding difference however i wouldn't let this one auto renew give them a call to discuss admin charges, cancellation fees ect
