Fitted wardrobe cost

I’ve never bought fitted wardrobes before, can anyone help with prices they’ve paid.

Floor to ceiling wardrobes, 3m long with a mix of drawers, shelves and rails inside and shaker style doors. One side of the ceiling is slightly sloped. I’m based in the north west.

The quote we’ve received from a local firm is £4,500 which doesn’t include handles or painting.

Does this sound about right? Seems a lot to me but as I say I’ve never done this before.

Hi @AConvivialHost we're also in the NW - South Manchester. If this is your region, would you mind telling me the name too. thanks

@HasaDigaEebowai

This is is my dressing room which is almost finished (still needs coving, island unit, carpet, ceiling light, decorating etc) using ikea doors as above. I actually used kitchen doors rather than the ikea pax system.
@HasaDigaEebowai - sorry to revive an old thread but I love your dressing room, its perfect! I was wondering if you could share which doors you used, as I'm looking to create the exact same thing based on the pax system but can't see anything like that on the IKEA site, either in the kitchens or the wardrobes section. Thank you!

@AConvivialHost

That seems excessive to me. We're in the NW and had 12 feet of wardrobes fitted, with built in shelves and differing height rails and also have a sloping ceiling and it was £1800.
Hi, please could I have the details too. Thanks x

We did a compromise and used Pax carcasses and inner fittings and then got a joiner to make custom doors and drawer fronts plus filler panels for the sides. And got our builder to fill in the gap at the top with plasterboard.

Definitely less expensive than fully bespoke and the Pax inner fittings are good.

Hi would you mind sending me the details too?
Thanks

OP, we also used PAX frames, plus some of their interior fittings, then had a joiner hack the frames & add top boxes to extend to the ceiling so as to fit the room (sloping ceiling on 3 sides). We then made to measure doors from here who can customise doors (i.e. make it the same design as the other doors but with a triangular piece missing - which is what we needed to accommodate the roof shape) and provide pelmet / cornicing to make it look built in. Also means with the bespoke doors that it doesn't shout IKEA.
